Paloma and Mojo's Puppies Have Arrived!

Paloma had 6 puppies, 3 boys and 3 girls, starting at 4:22am on Monday, April 9, 2012. They all had nice birth weights and took to nursing with little effort from Karen and I.  Almost all the pups are 12 hours old at the time I am posting this note and appear to be doing really well.  Paloma is being a good mom even if their crying sometimes confuses her.  I look forward to watching them tomorrow - they will begin to change so quickly!

Thank you to Karen for coming over well in advance of Paloma actually beginning to have her pups and staying long enough afterwards to make sure everything was okay. And, to Dr Cheryl Lopate for being available by phone!

Take care -

I know it's difficult to see but Dr Lopate says there are six puppies in there. We are looking forward to meeting each one of them!

Paloma Update

Paloma will go in for an ultrasound sometime during the first week of March to see if the breeding was successful. Paws and fingers crossed!
