Ziggy At Six Months

These are the most recent pictures I have of Ziggy. He is enrolled in a Basic Manners class and will begin contact training in a month or so to get ready for agility in the Fall.









I think he is a very handsome boy but then again, I am just a tad bias.

Fun Field Day

A small group of us gathered for TEVCO's annual Fun Field Day on Sauvie Island on Satuday, Aptil 25th. This was the pups' first turn on live chukars and, overall they did really well. Loki brought his parents and participated in the event, too. I was talking to a couple who are looking to get a Vizsla and missed his entire experience. Needless to say, I didn't get any pictures of him finding his bird. :(

The day presented itself as cold and breezy. A few of us brought pop-ups which came in handy especially when it decided to rain. Because of the rain and not wanting to get my camera totally drenched, I ended up not being able to get many pictures of Paloma. I had the wrong lens on the camera but, here she is finding one of the birds.

and held a nice point until we called him off.


We brought two chukars home for Hannah and Marley because they had to stay home today. Hannah found her bird right away. Marley's in season and while she found her bird, she wasn't much interested in it. This is Paloma on Marley's bird.

A Major Milestone!

At 6 months, you have hit the milestone for being able to go into the show ring. If your parents are considering allowing you to grace the ring, have them let me know.

Paloma and Patriot spent their day coming home from being out of town. Patriot traveled with his Mom to Wisconsin where they dropped off Edgar, a 2 year old friend, for field training. They went along to help with the trip and were gone from Easter morning until last evening. Paloma was in Crescent Bar, WA, visiting her Dad for about the same length of time. He was so happy to have her there, along with her human Mom, her real Mom and Auntie Hannah. Secretly she didn't want to come home or was that Mom? Anyway, we all ended up being on I-84 at the same time. Paloma arrived home first, followed by Patriot about a half hour later. Considering Patriot started out in Butte, MT, that morning, being on the same road at the same time was pretty amazing.

I wish you all a Happy Six Months and hope to get new pictures of everyone real soon! If your folks can manage a stacking picture, that would be great. I know it's tough but I have every confidence that you can do it! :)

Jennifer wanted a photo of Crawford sleeping with one of the other dogs. On the last evening he was here with us, I captured him and Paloma on the couch.


He also enjoyed being on the bed with the rest of the crew!

Loki Came To Visit

I cannot tell you how nice it was to have four of the six pups here at the house the other day! I sure missed the other two but they would need more than a phone call that morning to make it here on time! Jasper and Ziggy, I was thinking about you!! Maybe one day we will all be in the same place and we'll get the whole family in a picture! :)


Crawford was busted trying to eat the lilac - I'm sure Miss Paloma taught this to him! I have nicknamed her "The Landscaper!"


Patriot and Loki


Steve called this "The Symphony!" In the following pictures you can see them come together as one so they all get a treat! In this one, Marley is the holdout.


They almost have it . . .


Wow!! I have everyone's attention at this point and they were rewarded handsomely for their effort. I love puppy classes!! From right to left, they are: Loki (aka Bear, red collar), Marley, Patriot (green collar), Paloma (the only girl), Crawford (aka Lemon Drop, yellow collar) and Hannah. She's the best Auntie ever!

What a Beautiful Day Today Was!

Crawford arrived for his weekend visit at 1:30pm. His mother promptly gave him his orders and was then removed for being an over zealous drill instructor.


Once outside, the puppies were able to play. Paloma found a stick, not unusual. We will perhaps have a present later tonight.

This is a picture of Nash. To me, he looks just like his mom, Lyric. He is only 5 months older the the pups but is more like the gawky teenager to the pups who remind me of elementary school children - still a little plump and losing their teeth.

Just to show you how tall Nash is next to Crawford, who is just a tad smaller than Paloma.

Nash came over for the day while Tim went to work. Usually Tim's mom watches Nash but she had an appointment today so Bree pitched in to help.

Crawford will be here all weekend. His Mom and Dad are in California doing something very special and spending time together, too!

Since about 6pm, Crawford has lost three teeth. Don't worry, Jenn. I have them here waiting for you.

So, while 6 Vizslas in the house is a huge red blur at times, 5 seems peaceful. Of course, they might all be tuckered out from their all day play date. It might rain tomorrow so I'm thankful for today.
