Total Bliss

Oh, to sleep with such abandon!

Pups at Two Weeks

The puppies are two weeks old today. They have made good progress since last week. All continue to gain weight at a steady pace. Bear is the largest with Rancher close behind. Lemon Drop remains the smallest but does weigh over a pound, and is fast approaching the two pound mark.

Here are the pups in birth order:

Squeak - looks like I have both eyes open but, not yet! Just one.

Rancher - another one eyed Jack!

Bear - Here's looking at you!

And, the two week puppy pile! I doubt I'll see them all piled together too many more times as the weeks go by.

Halloween Evening!

Sometimes Marley just wants to sit in the whelping box. She is there for hardly a moment and then, WHAM! they're attached!

I found Bear sleeping in the corner of the whelping box, propped up on all four sides. Ingenious!

Paloma in her nest.

Oh, big yawn! Good night, everyone!

Happy Halloween!

We don't usually get too many visitors down our long driveway but I imagine we might get a few. And, every time the doorbell rings, Hannah and Marley will be there to greet whomever is there. I sure hope the pups don't mind!

May you enjoy greeting the children who come up to your door with treats so they won't pull any tricks on you!

Quite A Day!

The puppies are up and walking! In the morning, Squeak and Bear showed signs of their eyes opening and by late night, I could see Bear's eyes. His eyelids are not totally open but I can see a glimmer of "him!" This is so exciting! It amazes me, blind as they are, they are able to walk around the whelping box.

Four of the pups have lost their tail stitches, too. What an exciting time.
