Today you are nine months old. Each one of you is growing into such a lovely Vizsla. You have learned so much in such a short time and I look forward to watching you continue to grow in your relationships with your owners. I am so proud of you ~ you are becoming good citizens, polite show dogs, go get 'em field dogs and agile agility dogs all while maintaining the loving temperaments you were bred to have. I have enjoyed getting the reports and photos from your owners and hope that continues well past the puppy stage. You are Marley's one and only litter and for that you will always remain my most treasured puppies.

Happy Holiday!
Wishing you a Happy 4th of July!!

And, if your parents dress you up similar to this Boston Terrier, please send pictures! :)
Portlanders - Try to enjoy the HOT weather we are having but don't overdo. It doesn't take long for our Red Kids to overheat .
Take care - Marc, Audrey, Hannah, Marley, Paloma and Patriot (who are not enjoying the 90+ heat!)

Father's Day Weekend
Hopefully, all the Dads had a good Father's Day weekend - yes, even those who are Dads to red fur kids!
Patriot and Paloma spent their weekend attending their first dog shows. They both did well and while they didn't bring home the points, made improvement from one day to the next. Loki spent the weekend in Bend; Crawford spent the weekend learning how to swim and Jasper spent it preparing to run in his first real Hunt Test. He has also completed snake avoidance training which Brian said was painful to watch but so worth being safer in the field. And, I hear Crawford has completed his third puppy class and won the last day competition.
I'm always open for more stories and love sharing them with everyone. So, if you have one, please send it to me!
Take care and enjoy the first days of summer!

Is It Already 8 Months?
Happy 8th months, Puppies! Please do enjoy the beginning of Summer which is coming in just a few days!
I know some of you have big plans - one of you is taking a plane trip to Minnesota so one side of the family can ooo and ahhh over you! Never mind your parents - you are the one they are waiting to see!! Another will be saying "Goodbye" to Mom for a time while she goes and starts a new chapter in her educational life. Don't worry - you'll be joining her soon enough but not until you have a stay at G&G's house! I know another one of you has plans to travel to the beach - you're going to have so much fun racing down the sand and playing in the waves! And yet, another one will be starting his hunting career while two others will be beginning their show careers! There is so much fun coming to all of you! :)
I have received some new pictures of Crawford and will post them here soon along with Patriot and Paloma's Fun Match pictures - well, those will be of Patriot mostly since he did better than Paloma.
Anyway, I hope you are enjoying this day. I love you all . . . .

Jasper in June

Handsome boy

"Are you talking to me?"

"It's so boring waiting for the birds to return."

Nothing like stealing Mom's shopping bag to help pass the boredom!

I am so encouraged by the reports I am receiving from our puppies' families. Each of the pups are excelling in the areas their owners are working with them in and representing the breed in a manner that would make any breeder proud. Thank you Catch A Fire families!

Out and About - The Adventures of Ziggy
And, charming them all.
At the end of May, Ziggy got to go to a Fast Pitch Tournament. His owners thought it would be a good opportunity to get him around new sights and sounds. His first day was filled with new people and dogs, new places to smell, and things to see plus it was H.O.T.! Patience is not one of Ziggy's greater qualities (signs of an intelligent breed) and he had a little trouble the first day. But, by the end of the weekend he had sorted it all out and impressed his family. He had a great time meeting new people and took every opportunity to give tiny licks to the little people. He was such a good sport and handled everything like a pro, even when the stands erupted with cheer!
Here is Ziggy and The Black Diamonds.
At the beginning of June, Ziggy's neighborhood celebrates with a Country Fair. His Dad was in charge of policing for the event and once again Ziggy was presented with an opportunity to learn about new sights and sounds (sirens). Over 500 people attended this event including children, police and firemen. He was a huge hit particularly with the children.

Patriot and Paloma
We just spent another week in Crescent Bar, WA, with Marc. The weather was much warmer than we are used to so we spent a good deal of time in the house with the air conditioner on. I did manage to take a few pictures (ha, really alot ) but these are some of my favorite.

Patriot sleeping - a good time to catch his picture!

Paloma's favorite spot all week - the chaise lounge on the upper patio.

So hot and yet she still did not budge.

Patriot watching the remote controlled helicopter.

Marley, Patriot and Hannah - I had to uncover them to believe they remained asleep in this position. Paloma chose the more comfortable spot, on the pillows next to Dad.
Hope you all are doing well. And, for those of you local - I hope you are staying cool but enjoying the nice weather.
