Marley's appointment was scheduled for 11am Tuesday but we were to arrive at 10am for a pre-op exam. We were sitting in the waiting room when the shipment of "swimmers" arrived a la Fed-Ex from Colorado. The pre-op exam consisted of a check of her heart, temperature and capillary recovery rate. The vet also checked her ears and teeth. She gave Marley something to help her relax/sleep and we went back to the waiting room. Marley promptly took up her usual perch which is my lap and fought falling asleep as best she could. A mighty battle she waged and almost won it except for the last ten minutes or so. They took her in the back at 11am and Bree and I sat in the waiting room until 12:15pm when they came to tell us she was out of surgery and actually sitting up. However, she wouldn't be ready to go for another 45 minutes. So, Bree and I went to the Coastal Farm Store where we picked up a new toy for Marley and a birthday present for Bree. We picked Marley up at 1pm and took her home. She was out the rest of the night with periodic trips off the bed. For the most part, she remained wiped out. Today she is much better and almost to her normal self.
We should know in a few weeks if Marley's going to be a mom.

I cannot wait to meet Marley as well as her puppies. I'll be praying for her breeding.
